Risk warning: CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. The vast majority of retail client accounts lose money when trading CFDs. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

Costs, Deposits & Withdrawals

Every broker earns money from your trading, so compare the full cost rather than just the headline spread. Look at the typical spread on the instruments you will trade, any commission per lot, overnight financing (swap) charges for positions held past the daily cut-off, and fees for currency conversion, deposits, withdrawals or inactivity.

Check how you can deposit and withdraw, how long withdrawals take and whether money must be returned to the same method you paid in with. Reputable brokers process withdrawals promptly and only to accounts in your own name. Be wary of anyone who asks you to send money to a personal account, a crypto wallet or a third party, or who offers bonuses for depositing more.

Start with a demo account to test the platform, execution and support, then begin with a small live deposit. Your broker, not any website or introducer, should hold your funds, and you should never share your account login with anyone.
